Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question that hasn’t been answered above? Take a look at our short Q&A section below for some additional information.
What do Trustees do?
Trustees are volunteers who provide governance, oversight, and strategic direction to ensure a charity fulfils its purpose, complies with legal requirements, and remains financially sustainable. For our members, this means trustees help make sure the movement is delivering its mission and values in practice by reviewing the National Director’s work, asking questions, monitoring progress, and providing support where improvements are needed.
Trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the charity’s finances, properties, and other assets, ensuring they are managed responsibly and used effectively to further the movement’s purpose. They oversee major financial and property decisions, approve budgets, publish annual accounts, and ensure legal obligations are met. In addition, trustees select a candidate for National Director to be presented to True Parents or their representative, and help protect and preserve True Parents’ cultural and material legacy in the UK, while recognising that they are not the movement’s spiritual leaders.
What is the difference between a pastor and a community coordinator?
Community Coordinators are usually volunteers who organise and support local activities, communicate important updates, connect members with pastoral care and liaise with regional and national leaders.
Pastors are employed in part-time or full-time leadership roles. They carry out many of the same community-building responsibilities while additionally providing spiritual guidance, pastoral care, teaching, worship leadership and overall guidance for the community.
How can I contribute?

If you are not affiliated with a local community but have an idea or project, you can contact us using our enquiry form.
You can also make a donation to support our activities.
Where can I advertise my community event?
Please send your event details and announcement request to our communications team at comms@ffwpu.org.uk. The communications team will review each submission and decide whether and how it can be shared through our national channels.
