Comms Team UK

Members’ Spotlight | Celebrating the Empower Team

After months of serving across the UK, the Empower team has now completed their mission and is now preparing to graduate from the programme. As they take this next step in their journey, we want to celebrate their contribution and thank them for the energy, heart and dedication they brought to our communities.

Throughout their time in the UK, the team supported a wide range of activities, from witnessing and outreach to community events, youth programmes and service projects. Whether helping at UPF events, supporting CARP initiatives, assisting with children’s workshops, singing in the choir, cooking for gatherings or volunteering behind the scenes, they embraced every opportunity to serve with joy.

For many of the participants, one of the most memorable aspects of their mission was experiencing the diversity of the UK community. Coming from different countries themselves, they found a spiritual family that welcomed them with open arms.

Erika reflected on the many opportunities they were given to use their individual gifts while developing new skills. She especially appreciated seeing second-generation members taking ownership through CARP and was grateful for the respect, recognition and care the team received throughout their mission.

For Alin, what stood out most was the strong sense of family within the community. “Seeing a big presence of young people within the community was truly amazing as it made it feel like one family under God.”

One experience mentioned by several team members was the Annual Gathering Festival. Serving behind the scenes while watching hundreds of members come together left a lasting impression.

“My highlight was the Annual Gathering,” Alexandra said. “Doing volunteer work there, I had the opportunity to see the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Seeing my brothers and sisters laughing and having fun, serving them felt fulfilling and meaningful.”

Alin echoed this sentiment, sharing that he especially loved seeing everyone come together during the festival, while Erika reflected on the many ways the team could contribute their talents in service throughout their stay.

As they now prepare for graduation, we are deeply grateful for everything the Empower team has given to our community. Their enthusiasm, willingness to serve and genuine love for others have left a lasting impact on many people across the UK.

We wish Erika, Alexandra, Alin and the entire Empower team God’s richest blessings as they graduate and begin the next chapter of their journey. Thank you for serving our community so wholeheartedly. You will always have a home in the UK family.
