From the 16th to 18th of January around 150 leaders from across our EUME region met along the theme of ‘Passing the Flame’, hear all about it below…

Eight brothers and sisters from the UK participated: Betty, Sophia, Allister, Alvit, Miwa, Farhad, Yoshiko and Bogdan. “GB – Giving Britain” was the motto and internal goal we set for our participation. We welcomed Rev. Ken Doo, the Director General of FFWPU International.

You can listen to the Sunday Message by Rev Ken Doo below. During a personal dinner with two other young national leaders, our International Director General encouraged us strongly to shape and develop our national movements in concrete ways that substantially serve the people around us.

The evening worship session felt especially significant as young Unificationists are finding their (our) voice in honouring and praising Heavenly Parent. We are grateful that Sophia and Allister could contribute to the meeting by leading the session.

It was a weekend of sharing and discussion centred on three topics: (1) Generational Leadership Transition, (2) the challenges our movement faces in Korea and Japan, (3) the launch of the EUME Youth Department. For 14 nations, the meeting marked the transition to new national FFWPU leadership. You can find recordings of the session reports below.

Takeaway and action points
• The UK recently went through a generational leadership transition. We could share our experiences and lessons learned with other nations that are just starting this process.
• Concerning Japan and Korea, we received relevant updates, and the UK HQ will compile this information into fact sheets that we hope you will find helpful.
• You can nominate others or volunteer yourself to join the FFWPU EUME – Youth Department Team (further information coming soon)
• Join and invite others to the FOUNDATIONS Programme. The six-week online programme is for ages 18 to 39 and offers an opportunity to deepen our connection with True Mother. Among others, our National Pastor, Bogdan, will share insights into True Mother’s recent revelation of the Only Begotten Daughter. Click here
