On 7th May 2023, during the World Summit 2023, world leaders celebrated the completion of the construction phase of the Cheonwon Temple, preparing for the final grand opening of all parts and facilities of the sacred building complex in April 2025. [Pictured above]
Functions and Facilities of the Cheonwon Temple
- The heart of the Cheonwon Temple is the majestic Cheonil Sanctum, the home for God as the guiding and protecting force of the human family, and a holy room to converse with our Heavenly Parent.
- Housing the central legislative organs of Cheonil-guk protecting its constitution – Governance Hall and Parliamentary Rooms.
- A museum for the work of Heaven and God’s central providence to restore the ideal of creation.
- The area surrounding the main building exhibits sculptures of world- renowned artists, and is a space to enjoy the beauty of nature.
- Preserving the legacy and peace efforts of the citizens and families of Cheonil-guk in the grand Hall of Honour.
- The Cheonwon Temple and Cheonil Sanctum stand as central symbols of Cheonil-guk – the Kingdom of Heaven envisioned by Father and Mother Moon.

Cheonwon Temple and Cheonil Sanctum: Pillars of the Kingdom of Heaven
The Cheonwon Temple and Cheonil Sanctum stand as central symbols of Cheonil-guk – the Kingdom of Heaven envisioned by Father and Mother Moon. These sacred spaces embody God’s original ideal of creation, serving as hubs for spiritual connection, governance, and the cultivation of a heavenly culture.
The Cheonwon Temple, also called the palace of heavenly harmony, functions as the administrative and spiritual headquarters of Cheonil-guk. It integrates divine principles with human leadership, guiding efforts to establish a global society grounded in true love and peace. Housing the organisational framework of True Parents’ teachings, it fosters interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universal values. Its heavenly- inspired architecture invites visitors to align their lives with divine ideals.
At its heart lies the Cheonil Sanctum, a holy sanctuary representing the eternal presence of God and True Parents. This sanctified space serves as a spiritual core where individuals can offer prayers and devotion, deepening their connection with the divine. It symbolises God’s abiding presence among humanity and emphasises the centrality of divine love and guidance in human life.
Together, the Cheonwon Temple and Cheonil Sanctum anchor the vision of Cheonil-guk, transforming heavenly ideals into tangible reality. Far more than architectural marvels, they embody humanity’s commitment to co- create a world of peace and unity with God, offering hope and direction to all who seek to live in harmony with the divine will.
