We pray this new edition of our newsletter finds you in good health and spirit.
Thank you to all those who have joined the fasting chain (and other forms of devotion for True Mother, her health and timely release. November 17is the date for the next detention hearing, for which we pray that bail will be granted. The formal court case is scheduled to begin on December 1.
During our study this week, we were moved by the words of Scripture:
“He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”— 1 Thessalonians 5:10–11
Reflecting on our True Parents—True Mother in the Seoul detention centre and True Father right beside her—this passage resonated deeply. Bogdan wrote in his diary:
“True Parents live for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with them. Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
Each day, we are blessed with opportunities to share and connect with brothers and sisters across the country. Even when our conversations touch on serious matters, we feel encouraged by the depth of heart, sincerity, and selflessness we encounter. Indeed, each of us has something precious to bring to the table and contribute to our communities.
Speaking of the table—the holy table—tomorrow, Saturday, November 15, begins a special period of preparation. We have exactly seven days to ready our offering for the 66th True Children’s Day, and eight days until Sunday, November 23, when most communities will celebrate together. Simple, heartfelt acts can make this day especially meaningful. Families with children can:
- Create one drawing or painting each day
- Light a candle each evening and revisit a childhood memory
- Read and discuss one verse daily from the children’s version of the Family Pledge
- Make time to sing songs together as a family or even create a new song together…
The ways to prepare mindfully for the Holy Day and offer something to Heaven are limitless.
As we prepare for True Children’s Day, let us remember that every small act of devotion is also an act of encouragement. Just as Scripture calls us to “build each other up,” our offerings—whether drawings, songs, or prayers—add to the foundation in our families and communities. In this way, our preparation is not only for Heaven, but also for one another, strengthening the bonds that unite us as brothers and sisters.
